The story
The town council considered an Engineer RFQ Resolution, required by GEMA for funding qualification, at its August 12 meeting, but voted to table it.
On September 9, the council adopted the RFQ Resolution to hire an engineer to oversee bidding and contractor qualification, including for the SCADA system project, after members noted that earlier SCADA quotes had expired and new ones would be needed.
By October 21, three sealed bids had been submitted for the engineering services RFQ -- from Turnipseed Engineering, EMI Engineering, and Carter and Sloope -- and a work session was set for November 3 to review them.
