The story
In May, the Town of Alto Town Council was asked about Code Enforcement and confirmed the town currently has no officer. A lead on a candidate had fallen through, though a potential candidate could be available in October.
By June, the council was discussing a different approach: sending someone already on staff to get certified in-house as a Code Enforcement officer, since the town still does not have one.
